Born in Toronto, Ontario, Michelle Mondesir has always had a passion for music. Michelle’s experience in the music industry is impressive. As a graduate of Fanshawe College’s Music Industry Arts program, this smooth stylin’ soul sista is bound to be a success. She has had two nominations for the MIA Awards, and at the 2005 MIA Awards, Michelle, along with Bart Milczarczyk and Frank Clyke won Best Songwriter for their collaborative effort "Change", judged by Michael McCarty, President of EMI Publishing Canada. Her variety in musical outlets is reflective of her many influences. These include R&B, jazz, soul, rock and world music. This songstress’s library has risen to over 300 songs and shows no sign of stopping.

In 2008 she was nominated for best R&B artist at the T.I.M.A.’s, and was awarded best R&B soul female artist as well as best R&B song for "Don't Stop" at the T.E.M.A.’s. In 2009, Michelle performed at Toronto’s Indie Week and was nominated for two awards at the 2009 T.E.M.A’s, winning for Toronto’s Best Up and Coming Producer. 

Michelle has been involved in the world of music from an early age playing piano from the age of 5.  However, Michelle found her real love in singing and song writing. She has sung in numerous competitions, concerts and benefits over the years and continues to work on various projects, including guest appearances. In 2006 and again in 2010 Michelle participated in a children’s compilation album "Cool Babies" and looks forward to continuing her work on this series. In 2007, Michelle took part in a fundraising compilation CD for Aids/HIV in Africa. For the past number of year Michelle has shown support for the LGBT community in Toronto by performing at the yearly Pride events.

On Feb 14th 2011, Michelle released her debut album “Ready4UrLuv” which has been well reviewed by her peers, fans, and industry professionals alike.

Currently, Michelle has been focusing on writing, producing and recording her own music with prospects of having her 2nd album “The Light” released by the summer of 2012. Michelle also continues to showcase her songs throughout the GTA. Michelle is passionate about her work both in front and out of the spotlight. Whether performing her own material or helping to produce another artist, she is definitely looking at a bright future in Canada's already growing urban music scene.
